Yorkshire and Humber will host stage five of the Tour of Britain cycle race 2008 as it ventures into the region for the fifth consecutive year. The Yorkshire leg, to be held on the 11th September, has a brand new route that takes in some of the best urban and rural landscapes in the region.
The race has become a popular fixture in the region’s sporting calendar, bringing visitors to the region and providing an exciting day out for young and old.
Stage 5 of the 2008 Tour of Britain which will see the riders racing from Kingston Upon Hull to Dalby Forest. Set against a stunning backdrop, riders will experience a true Yorkshire welcome as they soak up the ambience of the great outdoors whilst facing a challenging and rewarding ride.
