Regional Visitor Survey
We are currently working with Yorkshire Forward and our six Area Tourism Partnerships to carry out our first region-wide visitor survey.
The aim of this important research is to evaluate visitor experiences and measure satisfaction levels among visitors to Yorkshire.
The results will be used to ensure we can retain our competitive edge and attract more visitors from the UK and overseas.
The research will include 10,000 face-to-face interviews carried out over 12 months across Yorkshire by York-based QA Research and The Tourism Network.
The results will be professionally analysed and detailed recommendations made.
The information will help regional tourism planners understand visitors’ profiles, activity choices and levels of satisfaction at a regional, area and district level.
Key survey questions are:
- Why did you visit Yorkshire, and any specific areas within Yorkshire?
- How did you get here?
- Where did you stay and for how long?
- What places did you visit?
- How much did you spend?
