Economic Impact Analysis

Economic impact studies provide an objective analysis of the ‘worth’ of any tourism-related activity.

Economic impact studies are invaluable for:

  • Identifying key targets and performance indicators
  • Providing a great PR tool to demonstrate ‘added value’
  • Providing a sound economic model - essential for any type of feasibility assessment, planning application or bid for funding
  • Measuring the relative contribution of a development or attraction against a whole sector of industry

Economic impact studies can be used:

  • Before starting a project to aid decision making
  • To evaluate a project after completion
  • After a specific event to demonstrate value and ensure future events will be supported

Types of economic impact study

We offer several types of economic impact study depending on your individual requirements:
  • The PRIME model can evaluate the likely impact of new or expanding tourism developments
  • The Cambridge model can analyse the total volume and value of tourism in a particular area
  • Bespoke economic models can be developed to meet your exact needs
