National Quality Assurance Scheme
The VisitBritain National Quality Assessment Schemes provide customers and potential customers with an easy-to-understand guide to the quality and level of facilities offered by accommodation providers.
Most of the schemes award between one and five stars depending on the level of quality, and some schemes also recognise outstanding accommodation with silver and gold awards.
Quality assessments are carried out by experienced industry professionals.

- Budget hotels
- Guest accommodation
- Self-catering
- Serviced apartments
- Holiday, touring and camping parks
- Holiday villages
- Hostels
- Educational campuses
- Spas
- Individual caravan holiday homes
- Narrow boats, cruisers and hotel boats
